Brand Ethics
Slow Fashion & Consciously Created:
We understand and value the importance behind being a sustainable brand in the fashion industry, and this is our main goal to work towards as the business grows.
We also use deadstock fabrics to re-create new garments and give those excess fabrics a new life.
As a small business owner I made the conscious decision that Eilisha The Label will always be produced in small quantity numbers to avoid mass production and garment/fabric waste.
This does mean sizing is limited and might not always offer a full size range.
Only be designing quality garments a handful of times a year, this is important because it encourages our consumer to wear the product more often. Our products are made thoughtfully and carefully to last.
We work closely with our local & offshore manufacturers to ensure only the best quality & standards are given.
Why We Use Polyester (For Now)
Every garment we design is created with care, intention, and longevity in mind.
We know many conscious customers are increasingly aware of the impact synthetic fibres like polyester can have on the environment and you might be wondering why many of our pieces use high-quality polyester blends.
Here’s why:
- Durability matters. We want your pieces to last for years, not seasons. High-quality polyester blends offer superior resistance to shrinking, stretching, wrinkling, and fading meaning you can wear and love your pieces over and over without compromising on look or feel.
- Small-batch, carefully controlled production. Unlike mass-market brands, we produce in small units with strict quality control. That means we’re making pieces to last, not overproducing fast-fashion garments that end up in landfill after a few wears. Longevity is a key part of sustainability.
- Beautiful textures and finishes. Polyester allows us to work with unique fabrics, sparkly details, and interesting surface textures that bring our feminine, standout designs to life. Many of these effects aren’t achievable (or are extremely costly) with purely natural fibers.
- We’re evolving. We are committed to continuously improving our sourcing as we grow. While polyester is currently a key part of our materials strategy, we are actively exploring more ethical, lower-impact alternatives.
Sustainability is a journey, and we’re grateful to have you on this journey with us.
Understanding the fabrics you wear is a choice & everyone should be aware of the decisions I make as a founder.
Thank you for supporting my small fashion brand 🤍
